Scott Foley, star of the CBS show "The Unit," has gotten engaged. Foley recently proposed to his longtime girlfriend, actress Marika Dominczyk, his publicist said Monday.

LOS ANGELES - Actor Scott Foley, star of the CBS show “The Unit,” has gotten engaged.

Foley recently proposed to his longtime girlfriend, actress Marika Dominczyk, his publicist said Monday.

The couple met on the set of the sitcom “The Help.”

Foley, 34, was a regular on teen-romance shows, including “Dawson’s Creek” and “Felicity.” He was previously married to Jennifer Garner. The couple divorced in 2004.

It will be the first marriage for Dominczyk, 26. She has appeared on ABC’s “Brothers & Sisters” and NBC’s now-canceled show “Heist.”
