“She’s just someone that I’ll always love, you know what I’m saying.” – Diddy
That’s what Sean “Diddy” Combs had to say about Jennifer Lopez back in 2001 when they ended their relationship.
But what’s he saying now about Jennifer?
Access Hollywood’s Maria Menounos spent an afternoon with Diddy to get the answer.
“We all find our true love different ways. She’s found her true love. I found mine and it’s all good,” Diddy told Maria. “But this is the last time I’m really talking about it.”
And with that, Diddy has spoken.
The hip-hop mega mogul actually told Vibe magazine he never would have married J. Lo.
“You said that in regards to Jennifer Lopez, ‘there was some love there but it just wasn’t this type of love, it was two ships passing in the night.’ What did you mean by that?” Maria asked him.
“It was no disrespect. I definitely loved her and cared about here when we were in a relationship together,” he explained.
“I’m one of her ex-boyfriends, you know what I’m saying? She’s just one, she’s one of my ex-girlfriends so she’s special to me but this love that I have and the time that I’ve had with Kim is just to another level, but it’s not disrespecting that, you know what I’m saying?” Diddy said.
“And there you have it. That’s the end. Don’t anyone ask him the question again because you heard the whole response right here,” Maria joked.
“Yeah, there’s no need. Let’s move on ladies and gentlemen,” he smiled.
So what topic should we discuss instead? How about “Press Play” — Diddy’s first album in five years.
“Are you nervous at all having been out of it for so long?” Maria asked.
“Yeah you definitely get nervous feelings. You get excited, you know, anxiety, it’s just like when you love your music, it’s like your baby has hit the stores,” Diddy said.
“Press Play” is in stores now.
