‘I don’t sell my private life’
James Blunt walked the red carpet at the MTV Video Music Awards with model-girlfriend Petra Nemcova — well, sort of.

Blunt, who was nominated for best male video for his “You’re Beautiful,” and Nemcova, sporting a strapless Stella McCartney ensemble, talked to reporters separately.

“I’m shorter than her,” Blunt, laughing, told The Associated Press, explaining why they didn’t patrol the carpet together. “We’re almost the same height — in my dreams.”

He said he planned to hit the bar and enjoy the after-parties, but wouldn’t spill any more about his ties to Nemcova.

“I think it’s really important to realize that I sell music. I don’t sell my private life,” said Blunt, grinning.
