JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Police say a woman has admitted injecting cleaning fluid into her husband's hospital I-V bag, hoping he'd have a heart attack.
They say it happened at a hospital in Missouri, where the man was recovering after elective surgery. A nurse noticed the bag had been tampered with. The man is expected to survive.
Police say his wife admitted after her arrest that she'd injected a solution called "Oops! All-Purpose Remover" into the I-V bag. She's charged with assault.
The alleged motive is under investigation. A police officer says the couple was "having some family issues."
