The Age of AIDS: NBC News reports

In June 1982, NBC News first reported on a "new deadly, sexually transmitted disease" that was mostly affecting homosexual men. Correspondent Robert Bazell interviewed two frightened young men who were sick from the mysterious infection that did not yet have a name. A month later the disease was identified as AIDS.
