Tell us your retirement story

As part of an upcoming report on retirement, we'd like to include your thoughts about retirement: what kind of approach you're taking to saving, and what you think about changes in the way Americans are saving for retirement.

TELL US YOUR STORY

Please tell us about yourself: your job, your family, your age, etc.

When did you begin thinking about saving for retirement? What prompted you to start? How did you go about it? Do you save through work, on your own or both? Do you have a formal plan or do you save when you can?

What kinds of investments do you prefer for retirement? Do you manage them yourself? If so, how did you learn? If not, who manages your account for you?

Have you calculated how much you think you'll need to retire? Do you think it will be enough? If not, do you expect to get by on less or work longer -- or both?

What do you think about the current retirement system in the U.S.? Are people better off with retirement plans like Social Security and traditional pension plans? Or are you better off managing your own retiremement plan?

Please include any other comments you'd like to make.
