Is a language barrier getting between Paris Hilton and her sweetie?
The partying heiress’s romance with Greek shipping heir Stavros Niarchos reportedly is kaput because she’s tired of him speaking in another language.
It all came to a head, according to Life & Style Weekly, during a recent night at the Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles.
“Stavros was with a Greek friend, and Paris was freaking out because she couldn’t understand what they were saying,” an insider told the mag. “She thought they were laughing at her.”

But don’t expect Hilton to become a wallflower. The insider told the mag that Paris has been talking nonstop with her first fiancé, model Jason Shaw. Says the insider, “Paris says he’s the only one who’s ever been there for her.”
Notes from all over
Jennifer Aniston quietly dropped off several bags of used clothes at the American Way Thrift Store down the street from the Alliance Theater in Burbank, says a source. “When a woman in the store realized that it was Jennifer Aniston, she rushed to the bags but it was too late because a worker who had no idea who she was had already dumped the clothes into a bin and mixed in with clothes from civilians.” ... CBS-basher Howard Stern apparently had a nice chat with soon-to-be ex-CBS man, Mike Wallace. Shock jock Stern wouldn't say what they discussed. ... Portia De Rossi blames her bout with anorexia on her stint at “Ally McBeal.” The actress, who weighed 82 pounds in 1999, tells the April issue of Vogue that she used her skinny co-stars as role models. “I’ve often wondered if I wasn’t on that show if [my anorexia] may not have happened,” she said. “I didn’t really know at that point what it was like to be a celebrity, and the only people I knew at the time who had a similar experience were these women I worked with. They became my role models.”
