Mark Stevenson is a senior news editor for MSNBC.com. He has served in several roles as an editor and producer in business, technology and general news since joining the organization before its launch in 1996. Before joining MSNBC.com, Mark worked as an editor at the San Jose Mercury News, the Columbia (Mo.) Daily Tribune and the Alabama Journal. He holds a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia and an undergraduate degree from Auburn University with a double major in economics and journalism.
