Country music sweethearts Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood were married Saturday in Oklahoma, Access Hollywood has learned.
Brooks' publicist phoned Access' executive producer directly from the ceremony with the nuptial news.
In a statement to Access, Brooks said "its the perfect christmas gift to each other we could not be happier."
The couple had filed for a marriage license on Friday in Oklahoma's Rogers County court, which under state law was only good for 10 days.
Brooks, 43, and Yearwood, 41, first met in the 1980s, when she was an opening act on one of his tours. This is the second marriage for him and the third for her.
Yearwood has no children. Brooks has three.
