  Our series about good news
Making a Difference

"Making a Difference" stories usually air every Friday on NBC Nightly News. The series was conceived in response to viewers who complain that the broadcast features only "bad" news. Last week, in response to frustrated viewers who wanted to hear more good news in these tough economic times, we asked people to share stories of random or regular acts of kindness. The broadcast received thousands of e-mails and we are sharing some of these stories, this week on "Nightly News."

An apology
We understand there may have been a technical problem for some of our viewers watching Nightly News Friday night. You may have missed Michael Okwu’s Making a Difference report on bringing health information to barbershops. We apologize and if you want to see the report, below is a link.
